Yep, that's right. I said it. I've decided to take-on more responsibility, sort of. :)
A few days ago I downloaded Google Sketch-Up 6 to play around with 3D drafting. It takes some getting use to, but it has a nice interface and good tutorials. The 3D warehouse is handy, as well.
After some drawing, some pushing/pulling, and the sketchyphysics pluggin, I was able to create a virtual prototype of my "invention."
Next I'll submit a design patent application on the look. Then I'll start-in on the the utility application... maybe two utility applications. I already have the domain name, but should think about filing an intent-to-use application on the domain name in the Trademark Office to offer more protection.
With all of those ducks in a row, I'll most likely pursue selling the idea to a company.
If that doesn't workout, then I'll look for investors and work on a business plan.
