String Cheese Anyone?

Having children has taught me to appreciate the ability to reduce very esoteric concepts down to the level a child can understand. Discover Magazine held a contest that challenged the science community to produce a 2 minute video to explain String Theory (I trust that you'll watch the videos to understand).

The winner did a good job at explaining the fundamentals of String Theory. Personally, I got more out of watching all of the videos, than I did just watching the winner. If you can spare 10 minutes, I recommend watching the top 5.

As a patent attorney, I come across all sorts of advance concepts that dig into the details that I may or may not recall from my undergrad/grad days. So, when I go looking to understand concepts like Fourier Transforms or Eigenvectors, I really appreciate when someone has taken the time to boil-down the fundamentals to something this big kid can understand.
