A good friend of mine suggested I post more often, and they all don't have to be profound, but some can be mundane.
That said, I discovered a great way to clean my skillet, you know the kind that your grandma used her whole life, your parent's life and is still cooking everything on it when you come over for a holiday meal.
Well I bought one that was accidentally put through the dish washer, despite my instructions to the contrary. So then I bought another one, and will not let anyone clean it but me. Anal? Maybe.
So, to make my job easier, I was searching for various tools to "scrape" the cooked stuff off and stumbled upon my pie server (a pizza server will also work) that is a perfect shape and is metal.
Now with an easy few scrapes and a follow-up conditioning with vegetable oil, it's ready to use again.
If I can just get my kids to "have fun" cleaning it, that would be a true coup!
