Merger Arbitrage II

A day late; a dollar short...

This morning I looked at the SEC filings and saw that yesterday, Barracuda Networks (CUDA) announced it was being acquired by PE, Thoma Bravo for $27.55 per share or $1.6B total dollar deal.

And then guess what happened?

The share priced jumped from 23.68 to 27.60, or about 16.55%

BUT the Dec 15 Call Options, as of today (11/28) were:

2.60+2.46+1,757.14%3511625.00

Not sure about you, but I'd rather make 1757% on my investment than 16.55%

But not this time.  :(
