AT&T Uverse // Feb 2018 Speed Report

So I've discovered that I am getting great speeds on my machines that can handle the 1G, but am limited to the actual cable, NIC, connectors, etc that may not be set-up for 1G speeds. I bought a 1G USB Network Adapter for $10 off Amazon to test connections using a laptop. With this in mind I was able to figure out I had "old cables" connecting into my 1G switches, so I upgraded the ethernet cables and started seeing 300-600 Mbps speeds (avg) to my desktops -- even up to 948 Mbps!

Right now the dongle is in the bag in came in, but I'm going to try to connect my Pi to it, which is where I get this data.  If the Pi does not connect at speeds > 100 Mbps, then I think I'm going to stop testing my hourly speed and use the Pi for something useful like as a Kodi server.  More on this later.
